Giovanni Damien Niubo (born February 19, 2000)[1][2][3] is an American actor and singer best known for his role on Lincoln Rd.

Early life

Giovanni Damien Niubo was born in Miami, Florida, on February 19, 2000. His father is Luis, a New York City native, and his mother is Chelin, an interior designer, born in Havana, Cuba. The actor has three older siblings. He attended elementary school at the Miami Lakes K-8 Center, before transferring to Miami Lakes Middle School.

He was a student for the first semester of high school at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High and then moved to Miami Springs, Florida, where Niubo attended Miami Springs Senior High for a year. His mother enrolled him in GED courses at the Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) and Niubo received his GED at the age of 16.

He made the choice to proceed with his acting and singing career instead of sticking with college.

Career

Niubo's first acting experience was as the role of Roderigo on William Shakespeare's Othello. The play was held at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.

In 2006 when the actor landed his first role in a commercial for the Canadian bookstore Indigo Books and Music. In 2009 it was confirmed that Niubo would be on the YouTube web series My Life as Britney Lopez,[4] better known as MLABL. The show is a Buddy comedy centered on a 12-Year-Old and his mischief surrounded puppy.

In 2011 the YT series Lincoln Rd.[5] about affluent preteens with stormy personal lives who reside in Miami was released. Lincoln Rd ended in mid 2014. On July 2011 the actor was featured in a music video for Kidz Bop's rendition of Born This Way.[6]

In August 2015, Niubo attended the 2015 Teen Choice Awards.

On April 18, 2018 several clips and articles were released introducing a Facebook Watch series called SKAM Austin.[7][8][9] Niubo appeared in these articles and clips, as the comical Tyler Nunez. An Instagram account was later released for the character.
