Giorgio Andreasi (1467–1549) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Reggio Emilia (1544–1549),[1] Apostolic Nuncio to Venice (1540–1542), and Bishop of Chiusi (1538–1544).[2]

Biography

Giorgio Andreasi was born in Mantua, Italy in 1467.[3][4] On 20 March 1538, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul III as Bishop of Chiusi.[2][3] On February 1540, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul III as Apostolic Nuncio to Venice; he resigned in April 1542.[3] On 2 April 1544, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul III as Bishop of Reggio Emilia.[1][3] He served as Bishop of Reggio Emilia until his death on 22 January 1549.[1][3]

While bishop, he was the principal co-consecrator of Girolamo Foscari, Bishop of Torcello (1542).[3]
