Gert Kams (born 25 May 1985) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a right back for Estonian Meistriliiga club Flora.

Club career

Early career

Kams started playing football with his hometown club Koeru before moving to Meistriliiga club Valga in 2005. [1]

Flora

In 2006, Kams signed with Flora. He won his first Meistriliiga title in the 2010 season and his second one in the 2011 season. [1]

SJK

On 18 January 2013, Kams signed a two-year contract with Finnish Ykkönen side SJK.[2][3] SJK won the 2013 season and were promoted to top-tier Veikkausliiga. [1]

Return to Flora

On 27 October 2014, Kams rejoined Flora.[4] He was named club captain ahead of the 2015 season. [5] Kams won his third Meistriliiga title in the 2015 season and his fourth one in the 2017 season. [1]

International career

Kams started his international youth career in 2005. He made his senior international debut for Estonia on 3 February 2007, in a 0–4 loss to Poland in a friendly. [1] Kams scored his first international goal on 29 February 2012, in a 2–0 friendly victory over El Salvador. It was an unconventional goal as the ball deflected off his back.[6]
