Georgios Diamantakos (alternate spellings: Giorgos, George) (Greek: Γιώργος Διαμαντάκος; born January 14, 1995) is a Greek professional basketball player for Ifaistos Limnou of the Greek Basket League. He is a right-handed 7 ft. 1 in. (2.16 m)[1] tall center.

Professional career

Diamantakos began his pro career in Greece in 2012, when he played in the Greek League with Panathinaikos, in a game against Peristeri.[2]

In July 2015, he signed with the Turkish club Darüşşafaka, of the Turkish Super League, and was subsequently loaned by them to the Greek club Nea Kifissia.[3] Later, he played in a game with the Bulgarian club, Spartak Pleven, in November 2015. He was then loaned to the Croatian club GKK Šibenik, of the Croatian A-1 League.[4]

In July 2016, he signed with Apollon Patras in Greece.[5] On August 10, 2017, he joined Ifaistos Limnou of the Greek Basket League.[6]

Greek national team

Diamantakos has been a member of the junior national teams of Greece. With Greece's junior national teams, he played at the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, and the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship.[7]
