Georgina Morrison is a former female co-convenor of the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand. She was voted into the role over Wendy Harper by the party on 6 June 2010.[2]
At the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, 2009, Morrison accepted a "fossil of the day" for New Zealand after Prime Minister John Key did not increase New Zealand's emission reduction targets. Morrison said "I think we do deserve to get this award... John Key should listen to the people of New Zealand and support a really high emission target of at least 40 per cent".[3]
