National final
From the 500 applications sent into GPB, 10 acts will compete in the national final, to be held in September 2009.[1][2] The 10 competing acts will consist of individual acts, alongside specially-formed groups, created by GPB from individual entries.
The ten acts will also take part in a national tour, where, before the contest, the 10 acts will perform in various towns around Georgia over a monthly period.
