George Yancey
George Alan Yancey (born September 8, 1962)[1] is an African-American sociologist and professor of sociology at the University of North Texas (UNT), where he has taught since 1999.[2] At UNT, he is the director of the graduate program in sociology.[3] He is known for his research on anti-Christian attitudes in the contemporary United States, and the ways in which it can influence the decisions made by academic sociologists.[4][5] He has been called "the only researcher studying Christianophobia at a secular university".[6]
