George Lethbridge

Hornsey War Memorial

George Lethbridge (c.1848 – 27 February 1924)[1][2] was a British architect known for his war memorial designs.

Among Lethbridge's works were the Hornsey Central Hospital[3] (now demolished), the Hornsey War Memorial,[4] now grade II listed by Historic England,[5] and the Royal Russell School memorial Sundial.[6]

Lethbridge was born in Bickleigh, Devon, England.[7] In 1874, he married Jessie Naismith Morton in Edinburgh.[8] They had seven children.[9][10] He died in Edmonton, Essex, aged 76.[11]
