George Legge (12 July 1886 – 25 September 1915) was a Scottish amateur footballer who played in the Scottish Football League for Queen's Park.[3][4]

Personal life

Legge studied to be an electrical engineer.[4] Soon after the outbreak of the First World War in August 1914, Legge enlisted as a private in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.[5] He was killed in action on 29 September 1915, during an advance on Auchy-lez-La-Bassée in the early stages of the Battle of Loos.[4] He is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.[2]
