George Robert Cobb (August 26, 1885 – February 13, 1957)[1][2] was an American football and basketball coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at the University of Rhode Island team from 1909 to 1911 and again from 1913 to 1914, compiling a record of a 17–16–5. Cobb was also the head basketball coach at Rhode Island from 1910 to 1913, tallying a mark of 13–9, and the school's athletic director from 1909 to 1916.
