Geoff Wigington (born July 2, 1989) is an American musician and singer, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Waterparks.

Career

Waterparks (2011–present)

Geoff Wigington was introduced to singer Awsten Knight by the now ex-bassist of the band. He joined the band in 2011, just months after their debut EP Airplane Conversations was released.[1]

The band's next release, Black Light, was the first release by Waterparks with Geoff Wigington on lead guitar and drummer Otto Wood on drums. Black Light's first single, "New Wave," features Geoff Wigington tripping on acid in the music video and subsequently losing a triathlon to Travis M. Riddle.[2]

In November 2015, the band signed to Equal Vision Records and released their third EP, Cluster, on January 15, 2016.[3] The EP was well received by fans, in part due to the second verse of the song "Crave," on which Geoff Wigington has lead vocals.[4] Soon after, the band embarked on their first tour, the Black Cat Tour with Never Shout Never and Metro Station.[5] The band then played Slam Dunk[6] and every date of the 2016 Vans Warped Tour.[7]

On November 6, 2016, the band released their first full-length album, Double Dare, and went on the End The Madness tour with Sleeping With Sirens, State Champs, and Tonight Alive.[8] They embarked on their first ever headline tour in January 2017 with Too Close To Touch, Creeper, and Chapel.[9] They then supported All Time Low on their United Kingdom tour with SWMRS and played the Young Renegades Tour with the two aforementioned bands, Night Riots, and The Wrecks.[10]

The band toured on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour with As It Is, Chapel, and Sleep On It starting on November 6th, 2017 at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX and ending on December 7th at the House of Blues in Houston,TX. On January 26, 2018 the band's second full-length album, Entertainment, came out with 10 tracks.[11]
