Geodorum terrestre is a terrestrial orchid growing throughout tropical Asia at up to 400 m (1,300 ft) in altitude. It flowers from March to May.^[2]

Taxonomy

Linnaeus first described the species in 1759 as Epidendrum terrestre but later in 1760 described it under the binomial Epidendrum tuberosum and it has since been absent from any Linnaean enumerations. Recently, the species was lectotypified and placed in the genus Phaius as a result of incorrect morphological understanding.^[1]
