Gaurav Nanda is an Indian films, television and theatre actor and One of the Top International Method Acting Training Coaches in the World. He is the Founder of the First "International Method Acting" Training School in India called "Actor Studio India", which is one of the best Method Acting Techniques Training Studios In The World.

He has trained thousands of Actors from all over the world in various Method Acting approaches. Apart from actors, he has trained numerous people from various walks of life using his unique techniques and helped them transform themselves and achieve their maximum potential.

Gaurav Nanda has developed his own Methods and Techniques to make people achieve their true potentials, both Psychologically and Psychophysically using various Method Acting Techniques. He has also trained many transformation coaches, corporate trainers, corporate houses, various organizations and institutions from all across the globe.

He specializes in various method acting approaches and techniques governing human behaviour; such as Michael Chekov (Russia), Lee Strasberg (America), Jacques Lecoq Pedagogy (Paris), Stanislavski (Russia), Uta Hagen (America), Sanford Meisner (America), Laban Movement Analysis And Neuro-linguistic programming etc.[2][3]

As an Actor He is known for his various roles in several Films and TV Projects; a few of them being Bamdini (TV series) on NDTV Imagine, Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi On Sony, as Mr. Tandon in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus, as Gulshan in Tu Mera Hero on Star Plus amongst many others .[4] He has recently finished shooting for the Film Shab, which is directed by National Award Winning Director Onir.

Early life

He studied telecommunication engineering at BMSCE Bangalore. In his first year of college he was selected in an All India talent hunt of MTV Serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi for Balaji Telefilms, where he was selected among the top six applicants from thousands who came to try their luck in Bangalore.

He started his professional training as an actor and got involved in theatre and method acting training during his college days.

Acting training

His initial training as an actor started with Mr. Lalit Prakash, who was the Head of Department of acting in the Asian Academy of Film & Television . After his graduation, he was determined to go to Mumbai and to take up acting as a career, where he did a course at Whistling Woods International under Naseeruddin Shah.

Before he started to work as an actor on projects in Mumbai, he already had more than 8 years of professional training as an actor in theatre and acting. He got his first break in films while studying acting in Whistling Woods International in the film Sorry Bhai!. He also got a role in a mythological serial on Indian TV; Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki By Balaji Telefilms.

He has been trained internationally by faculties of National School of Drama (NSD), Film and Television Institute of India(FTII), London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art(LAMDA), Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute among others. He has also been trained in various forms of Physical theatre Approaches and various Method Acting approaches from all around the world[2]
