It has a total floor area of 100,000 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft) and is connected to the Smart Araneta Coliseum by a walkway. The mall hosts a 10-cinema cineplex (Gateway Cineplex 10) which includes the 500-seater Cinema 5 and the Platinum Cinema which is touted by the mall owners as the "first La-Z-Boy theater" in the Philippines.[3] The Mall also houses Rustan's, H&M, Miniso, Apple Inc., Xiaomi among other shops, including food and retail, and The Oasis (a one-of-a-kind Garden) in the mall.

The mall is also connected to the lower six retail levels of the adjacent Gateway Tower which was constructed in 2013.[3] The wing is connected to the 2nd floor of the Kia Theater via Elevated Bridge.

Gateway Mall 2

The Gateway Mall 2 is the expansion project of the Gateway Mall. [4] [5] [6] With eight levels of retail, nine cinemas cineplex, a 3,500 square meter Gourmet Hall, and an iconic, 500-seater chapel.[7] Expansion of the mall was scheduled to commence within 2016 or early 2017.[8] It is to be built at west side of the Smart Araneta Coliseum, adjacent to a planned Ibis Hotel branch,[9]and will have a designated roof deck activity area linking to Gateway Mall 1, an activity area, an organic vegetable garden, and an island restaurant-food court. [3] As of second quarter of 2017, the part linking to Farmers Plaza is under construction, and on August 2017, the former Food Park, the former parking space in front of the coliseum, along with the coliseum's Red Gate facade, were dug up to give way for the underground parking spaces and the new mall's foundations. When completed, the development will have 120,000 m2 (1,300,000 sq ft) of retail space, along with Ibis Styles Hotel, the first Ibis Styles hotel in the Philippines.[10] With a bridge linking a planned Cyber Mall located at the Cyberpark and Megawide Construction Corporation as the general contractor, it is planned for completion in 2020, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Araneta Coliseum. [11]
