Gambusia dominicensis, the Dominican gambusia, is a species of freshwater fish. It is a member of the family Poeciliidae of order Cyprinodontiformes. It is native to two lakes on the island of Hispaniola: Lake Enriquillo in the Dominican Republic and Lake Azuei in Haiti.[1] Spread through the aquarium trade, it is an invasive species in some parts of the world.
