Galina Dodon (Romanian: Galina Dodon; Russian: Галина Додон; born 12 February 1977[1]) is the wife of the current President of Moldova Igor Dodon and is the First Lady of Moldova.[2]

She started her professional activity as an accountant in September 1999.[3] She married her husband Igor Dodon that year as well. Until 2012, Dodon was Deputy Chief Accountant at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.[4] She has been the Financial Director of Exclusive Media since March 2012.[5] Dodon has stated that personally, She always try to avoid politics at home and in the media.[6] Dodon as first lady, has been involved with many charities, and intends to provide support to 100 kindergartens by the end of 2017.[7]

Personal Life

Galina and Igor Dodon have three children: Bogdan, Vlad, and Nikolai. Apart from her native Moldovan, she also is fluent in Russian and English.[8][9]
