Gajwel is a town in Siddipet district of the Indian state of Telangana.[2]
Government and politics
Civic administration
Gajwel Nagar Panchayat was constituted in 2012. The jurisdiction of the civic body is spread over an area of 49.00 km2 (18.92 sq mi).[1]
Politics
Gajwel Assembly constituency is a constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India.It is one of 10 constituencies in Siddipet district.[3] It consists of 6 mandals: Toopran, Kondapak, Gajwel, Jagadevpur, wargal, Markook and Mulug. J. B. Muthyal Rao is the First MLA of Gajwel. Gajwel Saidaiah won 4 times from 1962-1978. Telangana first Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is MLA from Gajwel seat.
