Gagliano Castelferrato (Latin: Galaria; Sicilian: Gagghianu) is a comune in Sicily, Italy in the Province of Enna.
History
The town was founded by the king of Sicans in 1900 BC. Gagliano Castelferrato has been influenced by several cultures, such as Byzantines, Arabs, barbarians.
Methane
Sicily is well known for its subsoil. In 1956, the first drill was installed. They found out that besides methane, in the subsoil, there was pure gasoline.
