Giselle Anne "G" Töngi-Walters[fn 1] (born June 14, 1978) is an actress, dancer, singer, host, VJ & model active in the Philippines.
From the early '90s she made a name for herself in the TV series Gimik in the original Saturday TV series from its initial airing in 1996–1999 until its film adaptation she would later star in Regal and MAQ productions with Diliryo being shown at the Toronto and BFI film festivals which later became a blockbuster hit in 1997 and through Home Video Rentals she scored high with Kahit Kailan during the end of the year and 1999s Tunay Na Mahal opposite Maricel Soriano after leaving her mother station she hosted SOP at GMA 7 till 2002
Early life
Born Giselle Toengi to a Swiss father, Eric and Filipina mother, Aurora.[1] She has four siblings namely: Avie, Tony, John and Sharon.
Career
She was 15 when she was discovered by an agent at a mall.[1] She was then launched as a member of the pioneer batch of Star Circle (now Star Magic).
In the early 2000s, G. Toengi left a thriving acting career in the Philippines a few years ago to try her luck in Hollywood.[2]
She landed a role in Saved by the Bell: The Musical and in 2004 in the stage play Days When Cocaine Was King.[3]
She played a planted fan to the contestants during a challenge in America's Next Top Model, Cycle 16, which can be seen in Episode 9 of the said Cycle.
In 2014, she replaced Jannelle So as host and producer of Kababayan Today, which airs on KSCI (LA-18).[4]
Personal life
Tongi studied at the Lee Strasberg School of Acting in New York City. She obtained a bachelor's degree in communication studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Tongi married bartender Tim Walters in a beach wedding in Boracay on February 19, 2005.[5] Together they have a son Kenobi Benjamin[2] and a daughter Sakura Anne Marie.[1]
