Furtherwick Park School was a Comprehensive boy and girls' senior school for 11- to 16-year-olds, located on Canvey Island. The school was in the town centre, known for being oldest school on the island back in its day. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006. The school had around 1,000 pupils. This school is now closed and been rebuilt to provide the grounds for the new Castle View School which moved to this new site. While this happens the current Furtherwick site has undergone construction of the new Castle View. In 2007 the school got a media Arts College status.

The final Ofsted report judged the school satisfactory, an improvement on previous years when the school was judged failing on several key benchmarks http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/files/978697/urn/115333.pdf
