Fung Mei Wai

Fung Mei Wai (鳯美圍), formerly Kau Shi Wai　(狗屎圍, literally dog shit walled (village)), is a village in Fung Yuen, Tai Po, Hong Kong.

Name change

Because the original name Kau Shi Wai (狗屎圍) is very offensive, residents there suggested to change the name to the current Fung Mei Wai (鳯美圍).[1] However, the current status is unclear, as official government map data on Centamap continues to display the village by the name Kau Shi Wai.
