Freshwater phytoplankton

Freshwater phytoplankton is the phytoplankton occurring in freshwater ecosystems.[1] It can be distinghuished between limnoplankton (lake phytoplankton), heleoplankton (phytoplankton in ponds), and potamoplankton (river phytoplankton).[2][3]
