Reception

Eric Goldberg reviewed The Creature that Ate Sheboygan in Ares Magazine #1, rating it a 7 out of 9.[2] Goldberg commented that "the amount of care that went into the game and the smooth flow of play make Freedom a very good game. It is certainly the most professional development effort in science fiction and fantasy this past year."[2]

Steve Winter reviewed Freedom in the Galaxy in The Space Gamer No. 31.[1] Winter commented that "FITG is not for people who like simple games - it is long and complex - but it's a good investment in terms of fun dollars spent, and a must for anyone with [...] a handful of Star Wars ticket stubs in their jeans."[1]
