Francisco Escalante Molina
Francisco Escalante Molina (born 29 January 1965, La Grita, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See. He currently serves as the Apostolic Nuncio to the Republic of the Congo and Gabon, holding the post since 2016.
Biography
Born in Venezuela in 1965, Molina became an ordained priest in 1989. After joining the diplomatic service of the Holy See, Molina worked in Africa and later at the apostolic nunciature in Slovenia. In 2016 he was appointed as an archbishop and received a diplomatic posting in Africa as the apostolic nuncio to the Republic of the Congo and Gabon.[1][2]
