Francis Arthur Gordon (20 January 1808 at Orton, Huntingdonshire – 26 June 1857 at Paris) was an English cricketer with amateur status, afterwards a soldier.
He was a son of George Gordon, 9th Marquess of Huntly and brother of Charles Gordon, 10th Marquess of Huntly, who had both been noted amateur cricketers. F. A. Gordon went up to Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1828[1] and was associated with Cambridge University Cricket Club and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). He was recorded in seven first-class matches from 1826 to 1830, totalling 62 runs with a highest score of 19 and holding four catches. He took seven wickets with a best performance of two in one innings.[2]
Gordon joined the 1st Life Guards and became its commander with the rank of lieutenant colonel, but because of ill health was obliged to relinquish his command.[3]
