Francis Atwoli

Francis Atwoli Born in 1950 in Webuye District, Western Province,is a long serving trade unionist who is the current secretary general of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (Kenya) currently 69 years old. He was elected to the board in 2002 having worked for several years as a member of the Agriculture and Plantation Workers Union in Kenya.Je is very witty and He has consistently presented himself as a vocal advocate for workers rights frequently making animated speeches in events such as Labour Day crictising politicians on issues such as their refusal to pay taxes on their allowances, and dabbling in corruption. Globally, he's a respectable leader who has contributed alot in freedom of workers and has always stood by them in realizing their rights. [1][2][3] He has also been critical of Non-Governmental bodies interfering with labour disputes, and global institutions including the World Bank.[4]
