Francesco Rizzo (born 30 May 1943) is a retired Italian footballer who played as a midfielder.

Club career

Born in Rovito, in the province of Cosenza, Rizzo began playing football with Cosenza. After spells with Milan and Alessandria, he joined Cagliari where he would make his Serie A debut against Fiorentina on 29 November 1964.[1]

During his club career he played for Cosenza Calcio 1914, U.S. Alessandria Calcio 1912, Cagliari Calcio, A.C. Fiorentina, Bologna F.C. 1909, F.C. Catanzaro, A.C. Cesena and Genoa C.F.C..

International career

At international level, Rizzo earned 2 caps and scored 2 goals for the Italy national football team in 1966,[2] and was part of the Italian squad for the 1966 FIFA World Cup.
