Forest of Szpęgawsk
The Forest of Szpęgawsk (Polish: Las Szpęgawski) is situated west from Szpęgawsk in the administrative district of Gmina Starogard Gdański, within Starogard County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.
Around 5000-7000 civilians were executed here between September 1939 and January 1941 during the Nazi occupation, most of them intellectuals and Jews from Pomerania. 39 mass graves were found.[1]
