"For You" is a song recorded by American country music singer James Otto. It was released in June 2008 as the second single from his CD Sunset Man. The song reached #39 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.[1] The song was written by Jim "Moose" Brown and Liz Henber.
Content
The song is about a man who is put in the position of being in love with a girl who wants him to move on after their relationship has ended. He reveals that all of the things he is willing to do for her, that is the one thing he will not.[2]
Critical reception
A review at countrymusiccentral.wordpress.com said the song has some very powerful and well performed vocals complimented by equally sentimental and delicate instrumental compositions to create one the most respectable performances the genre seen from an artist this new in quite a while.[2]
