Folk Radio UK

Folk Radio UK is an independent online Folk Music magazine that was founded in 2004[1]. They cover Folk, Acoustic and Celtic Music (including British folk music, Folk music of England, Music of Scotland, Music of Ireland and Music of Wales) Its founder and owner is Alex Gallacher[1][2] (also the editor-in-chief), the main office is situated in Somerset.[3]

They launched a new radio channel on Deezer as a specialist folk music channel in 2012.[4][5] They reached the finals of the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2014 in the Media category[6]. In July 2017[7] they launched a dedicated weekly Folk Show on British online music streaming service Mixcloud. They also curated playlists on Spotify which are updated regularly.
