The Indian Film Writers Association (FWA) is a registered trade union of writers who write for film and television.[1] It officially changed its name in 2016 and is now known as the Screenwriters Association (SWA).[2] The association counts story, dialogue, lyric, script, and poetry writers among its members. Novelists and authors who are looking to enter the film industry may register their work to the FWA.[3][4]
