Ferrol is a coastal comarca in the northwest of the province of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. The overall population of this local region is 154,802 (2017)[1]. It is also known as Ferrolterra.
Municipalities
It is composed of 11 municipalities, two of which are considered cities (Ferrol and Narón).
Six municipalities (Ferrol, Ares, Fene, Mugardos, Narón and Neda) creates the first division of the comarca as they conform the urban area located around the Ferrol Bay. Are towns very dependant of Ferrol and Narón and closely connected between themselves. Second area is the most rural to which belongs (Valdoviño, Moeche, Somozas and San Sadurniño) Finally the area of Cedeira, which conforms an small hub itself.
