Archbishop Felix Anthony Machado[1][2][3][4] is the serving Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Vasai.[5][6][7]

Early life

He was born on 6 Jun 1948 in Vasai, Maharashtra, India.[8]

Priesthood

He was Ordained a Priest on 30 Oct 1976 for the Bombay Diocese. He was Incardinated to Roman Catholic Diocese of Vasai on 22 May 1998.

Episcopate

He was Appointed Archbishop (Personal Title) of Nashik, India on 16 Jan 2008. He was Ordained a Bishop on 8 Mar 2008 by Oswald Cardinal Gracias[9] and Appointed Archbishop (Personal Title) of Roman Catholic Diocese of Vasai on 19 Dec 2009.[10][11][12]

Machado has served from 1999 to 2008 as Undersecretary in the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Vatican.[13] He chairs the Office for Interreligious Dialogue of the Federation of Asian (Catholic) Bishops' Conferences (FABC); and Office for Interreligious Dialogue of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI).[14]
