Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU

The European Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU (FACE) is a pro-hunting and pro-gun lobbying group, which has 11 full-time lobbyists, and a budget of almost one million Euros.[1] Established in 1977, FACE is a non-profit nongovernmental organisation. FACE is made up of national hunters’ associations from 35 European countries including the EU-28. FACE is supported by 7 associate members and is based in Brussels.

FACE protested a 2016 proposal by the European Union to revise the EU's firearm regulations,[2] saying it would ban muzzle-loading weapons; Guns.com called the organization "the EUs most outspoken gun rights group".[3] In 2016 FACE opposed an EU proposal to ban the import of hunting trophies from certain African countries, a proposal rejected, in the end, by the EU.[4]
