Life and career

Meijer was born in Almere in the Netherlands. In February 2016, Meijer started her own YouTube channel under her nickname Famke Louise. After she became known, she accepted Famke Louise as her stage name. At first Meijer made prank videos with a couple of friends, a few videos that she made were fake and they got a lot of criticism. Because of this criticism Meijer decided to delete all her previous videos.[3] Since then she makes videos about beauty, fashion and started vlogging. In 2017 she appeared in the Dutch television serie Models in Paris: Het Echte Leven, where she was accompanied to become a model. After this serie ended she got various photo shoots in Dutch magazines.[4]

At the end of 2017, Meijer started working on her singing career. In November 2017 she released her first single under the name "Op Me Monnie", the single received a lot of attention and reached the national media from the Netherlands several times.[5][6] After this Meijer released the singles "Vroom" and "Lit".[7] In March 2018, she released the single "Fan" in collaboration with the well-known Dutch rapper Ronnie Flex. The single reached 1 million streams within one day and ended on the first place of the Dutch single charts, Single Top 100.[8] Later on Meijer released various singles like "Evoluatie", "High", "Slangen" and "Zonder Jou".[9][10] In June 2018, Meijer released the single "Wine Slow (Remix)" in collaboration with the Dutch rappers Ronnie Flex, Idaly and Bizzey.[11]

Meijer appeared on the 19th season of the Dutch television serie Expeditie Robinson in September 2018.[12]
