Plot
Subramanyam / Subbu (Jagapathi Babu) is a simpleton who works as a manager in a firm, who marries a no-nonsense lady, Durga (Roja). They decide to adopt Subbu's deceased sister's two sons and bring them home. After their adopted sons, Durga gives birth to twins. The children are imps who make his life miserable with their mischief. Things worsen for Subbu because he has vacated too many houses due to the naughty children. So, Subbu decides to buy a house in a locality full of bizarre characters that include a retired army officer Lansnayak Bhagat (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a loud-mouthed neighbor Shantharam (Dharmavarapu Subramanyam), and some demented feminists.
But the worst is yet to come. They plan to rent a portion of their house, to a person called Pataudi (Rajendra Prasad). When he seems only too happy to offer double the rent, Subbu agrees to rent the portion out to him. Subbu realizes his mistake when he sees Pataudi's family, which is the most dysfunctional that one can ever imagine, landing up in his house. Pataudi's family contains two more strong imps for children and his wife Kantham (Jhansi), who's a hardcore virago who brings the sky down when somebody scolds her children. To top it all, Pataudi's sister-in-law Sujatha (Kanchi Kaul) a teenage girl, falls in love with Subbu and stalks him day and night. On the other hand, Sujatha's lover Babloo (Babloo) with his friends' gang threatens Subbu to leave Sujatha. All these problems create a lot of confusion & misunderstandings. The rest of the story is how Subbu deals with all these difficulties.
