Fakenham Academy (formerly Fakenham High School and College) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located over two sites in Fakenham, Norfolk, England.[1]

The school offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study. Pupils in the sixth form can choose to study from a range of A Levels and BTECs.

The school converted to with academy status in 2013 after previously receiving a 'inadequate' rating in an Ofsted report.[2] In the most recent OFSTED inspection (June 2015) Fakenham Academy was rated as a "Good" school.

Notable alumni

Former Norwich City footballer Matt Gill attended the school as did footballing brothers Ryan and Rossi Jarvis. [3] Their cousin, Adam Tann, also attended the school and went on to play professionally for Cambridge United and Leyton Orient. In addition, Daily Telegraph Sports Journalist Oliver Brown was educated at the school, as well as fellow journalist and author Emily Hill, who writes for The Guardian and The Spectator. Another former student of Fakenham High School, as it was then known, is award-winning poet Sam Riviere.
