Fabolon Blaise

Haitian Country Scene by Fabolon Blaise

Fabolon Blaise (1959 – 1985) was a Haitian painter. Born in Cap-Haïtien, Blaise first painted landscapes before focusing on historical scenes inspired by folklore and vodou. He died at the age of 28 as the result of a mistreated stomach ulcer.[1]

Blaise's older brothers, Saint-Louis and Serge Moléon, were also noted painters, as is his younger brother Andre.
