Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority, abbreviated to FICORA (Finnish: Viestintävirasto, Swedish: Kommunikationsverket), is the public authority responsible for communication regulations in Finland.[1] FICORA regulates radio frequencies and television broadcast permits, supervises the operation of Internet service providers, and manages the .fi domain zone. FICORA is headquartered in Helsinki.[2]
FICORA acts as the national telecommunications regulatory body, representing Finland in ITU and ETSI. It is one of the standards writing bodies working with the Finnish Standards Association.[3]
