FC Sokil Lviv was a football club based in Lviv, Lvivska Oblast, Ukraine.

History

The club was founded sometime in 1960s and originally called a team of Lviv Higher Military-Political School (LVVPU) and belonging to the Lviv Military-Political College (today Sahaidachny Academy of Land Forces). Until 1966 it played under the name of VVPU Lvov and in 1967 Sokol VVPU Lvov. After 1967 the team adapted the name Sokil as its official.

The team holds a record for the number of football cup tournaments won among amateur teams in Ukraine as well as among the best amateur teams (or collective teams of physical culture, KFK) in the Soviet Union.

Soon after the fall of the Soviet Union, the club disappeared.
