Evan Sharp (born 1982)[2] is an American Internet entrepreneur, the co-founder and chief product officer of Pinterest.[3]

Early life

Sharp was raised in York, Pennsylvania and attended York Suburban School District. He studied[4] architecture at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Prior to that, he received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Chicago.

Career

In 2009[5] Sharp met [6] Ben Silbermann (who would become Pinterest’s CEO) in New York through a mutual friend. He soon thereafter moved[7] to California, where he worked as a product designer at Facebook before joining Silbermann and Paul Sciarra to focus on Pinterest full-time. Sharp is credited[8] with designing and coding Pinterest and the Pinterest grid for the initial product launch in March 2010. Today he oversees all growth, international, product and design efforts at the San Francisco-based company.

Personal life

He married[9] Christina McBride in 2014. The couple met while attending college together.
