  • André Thien Ah Koon 曾宪建 (born in Reunion Island; Hakka ancestry): First and only Chinese elected to the French National Assembly and the first Chinese elected to a parliament in Europe, 1986-2006

Ireland

  • Sean Rooney: Former National Vice-Chairman of Labour Youth (2012-2013) and local Chinese Migrant Rights activist in Donegal.
