Eucalyptus gongylocarpa, commonly known as Baarla[1] or marble gum, is a tree that is native to inland South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.[2]
The tree typically grows to a height of 4 to 16 metres (13 to 52 ft) and has smooth white bark with red-brown flakes of bark that are loosely attached. It blooms between January and February producing white flowers.
It is found on sand plains, sand dunes and rises in arid areas in the central eastern areas of the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia extending into north western South Australia and the southern part of the Northern Territory where it grows in red sandy soils.
