Escape Room is an upcoming American psychological horror film directed by Adam Robitel and written by Bragi F. Schut and Maria Melnik. The film will star Logan Miller, Deborah Ann Woll, Taylor Russell, Tyler Labine, Jay Ellis, and Nik Dodani. It is set to be released in the United States on January 4, 2019, by Columbia Pictures.

"Six strangers find themselves in circumstances beyond their control, and must use their wits to survive."[1]

Production

On August 9, 2017, The Maze was announced as it commenced the casting process.[1] It was also revealed that the film will shoot in South Africa in late 2017.[2] In January 2018, Robitel told Syfy that production had wrapped and the film would be released in September 2018.[3] However, in May 2018, it was announced that the film had been retitled Escape Room, and would be released on November 30, 2018.[4] A month later, the film was pushed back to February 1, 2019.[5] The film is now scheduled for release on January 4, 2019.[6]
