Ernest C. Garcia III (born 1982/83) is an American used car businessman, the CEO of Carvana, a company founded by his father, Ernest Garcia II.
Early life
Ernest Garcia III is the son of Ernest Garcia II.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Stanford University in 2005.[1][2]
Career
Garcia joined his father's company DriveTime after college, before co-founding (with Ryan Keeton, and Ben Huston) its subsidiary Carvana in 2012, with Garcia as president and CEO since its inception.[1][2][3][4] Carvana was eventually spun out from DriveTime and given an IPO.[1] Garcia also became chairman of Carvana, some time after 2012.[5]
Garcia owns $600 million in Carvana shares, his father is the company's largest shareholder and they have full control due to their super-voting shares.[1]

Garcia is based in Phoenix, Arizona.[6]
