Published by Entrepreneur Media SA (Pty) Ltd, Entrepreneur magazine is a premium South African business magazine. Launched in 2006, it is published under license from Entrepreneur Media Inc.[1] US, America’s top-selling business magazine.

Targeted at business owners and key decision makers, the monthly South African publication is a ‘how to’ handbook for building companies.

Each issue of the magazine delivers relevant, incisive, high-quality content that not only inspires entrepreneurs to achieve their own business success, but delivers a ‘call to action’ as well. Each issue balances inspiring local success stories that readers can learn valuable business lessons from, with reference guide-like articles that offer actionable steps entrepreneurs can implement immediately.

Background

The magazine was launched in South Africa in April 2006 by local publisher and founder of Smart Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Andrew Honey. Andrew Honey is the CEO of ThinkSales Corporation and Entrepreneur Media SA which published Entrepreneur Magazine, the number one selling consumer business magazine in South Africa. He is of a select group of entrepreneurs globally who have sold a business plan and raised traditional capital to launch a company. Today he owns 25% of two companies.

ThinkSales Corporation, a leading revenue growth consultancy and training company has worked with over 600 leading South African companies since 2010 and has hosted over 3 000 delegates at the annual Sales Leadership Conventions.

Editorial content

The editorial mix features mainly medium length "how-to" articles which are divided into the following main categories:

  • Information on how to start or buy a business with examples from local South African entrepreneurs as they launch their businesses
  • Information on how to improve an existing business. This section includes content that focuses on a number of key disciplines including leadership and management, sales and marketing, financial management and technology
  • Information on self-development, motivation and personal finance.
