Elisabet Avramidou, known professionally as Elli AvrRam (born 29 July 1990),[2][3] is an Indian-Swedish-Greek actress[4] and is now based in Mumbai, India.[5][6] She appeared in the Abbas-Mustan directed blockbuster Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.[7] and participated in the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss. She has also appeared on the widely acclaimed Scandinavian talk show Skavlan.

Career

At age 18, AvrRam became the member of Pardesi Dance Group in Sundbyberg and gave dance performances all over Scandinavia, primarily of Bollywood songs.[8] AvrRam has done some acting projects in Sweden,[4] including 2008 crime drama romance movie, Förbjuden Frukt, where she played the role of Selen - the lead character's teen girlfriend. The movie was set against a backdrop of violent crime, where she falls in love with a boy with a criminal background.[9] She also appeared as guest on the Swedish Morning Show Gomorron Sverige. In 2010, AvrRam participated in the Miss Greece beauty contest.[10][11]

In September 2012, AvrRam moved to Mumbai.[12] She signed up with a modeling agency and got a work visa. Her first considerable project was a television advertisement for Eveready Batteries with Akshay Kumar. Since then she's also featured in other massive campaigns like the OPPO Diwali ad with the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli.

She got her first major breakthrough with a lead role in Abbas-Mustan directed blockbuster Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon opposite famous comic star Kapil Sharma. She's also played the lead role in Saurabh Varma's comedy thriller film, Mickey Virus.[13][4] Before her Bollywood debut, AvrRam had formal training in Hindi pronunciation and now speaks fluent hindi.[14] In Mickey Virus she played the role of Kamayani George.[15] The film, shot in Delhi, was released on 25 October 2013.[13] In September 2013, AvrRam participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss 7 and spent ten weeks in the house until she got evicted on Day 70. In 2015 she appeared in the box office hit Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon as Deepika opposite Kapil Sharma. She also appeared in item song 'Kudiyan shehar di' in film Poster Boys.[16]

Elli AvrRam is set to make her Tamil and Kannada debut in the Queen south remakes, Paris Paris and Butterfly.[17]
