Elizabeth McLeay is a New Zealand political science academic. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington.[1] She actively collaborates with constitutional law experts at Victoria University.[2]

She was part of a group of 19 law and politics academics who criticised the so-called "waka jumping" Bill, which was part of the Labour-NZ First Coalition Agreement.[3]

In 2018 she published In Search of Consensus: New Zealand’s Electoral Act 1956 and its Constitutional Legacy.[4][5][2]

Personal life

Her partner is Les Holborow.[6]
