After moving, she attended Bell High School in Nepean, Ontario.[2] As a student at the University of Toronto, Reid became a choral scholar and sang for the Hallgrímskirkja Motet Choir.[3] After she graduated from the University of Toronto with an international relations bachelor's degree, she went to Oxford University to complete a modern history master's degree.[4]
