Eirenis barani, commonly known as Baran's dwarf racer,[1] is a species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is endemic to the Near East.
Etymology
The specific name, barani, is in honor of Turkish herpetologist İbrahim Baran.[2]
Geographic range
Eirenis barani is found in southern Turkey and northwestern Syria.
Habitat
The natural habitats of E. barani are Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation and rocky areas.
